Example of our stunning wedding photography in Brisbane

What method of photography do you use for your weddings?

I am a wedding photojournalist and that’s the method I will use to capture your wedding day. I have been trained by photojournalists and top wedding photographers from the industry. I do take the photographs during a wedding using an alternative approach where images are captured spontaneously to emphasize moments and emotion. Much like photojournalists for the media, I present the story of your special day through the photographs.

What is the difference between “Candid Photography” and “Photojournalism”?

There are many differences between candid photography and photojournalism. Candid photography is taking un-posed photographs and it does not tell a story. Photojournalism uses candid photography as a means and but there is always a story behind it. Almost everyone can take candid photographs but without a good composition, lighting technique, creativity and art of story telling, the photographs may not illustrate the story that you are capturing.

A good photojournalist can capture many stories in a single image using those techniques.  For example, the impression of the Bride’s father when he saw his daughter how gorgeous she was in a wedding gown for the first time, it is priceless. I will capture the moment before even he knows it.

How do you plan the wedding shoot?

Normally, I meet up with the couples if they want to book for their big day. After going though the wedding albums and if they like my work, I will go through the “wedding detail checklist”.  This checklist will capture all the important details for the big day and both parties will have a copy of the checklist after booking.
